Dr. Coleen Carrigan wins NSF Career Award!
Dr. Coleen Carrigan has been awarded NSF Career grant for her program: Valuing the Social in Computer Science and Engineering. The grant will help research to reasons why CSE remains stubbornly segregated when it comes to gender parity. The goal os this CAREER project is to use ethnography to compare subfields of CSE in which women have different levels of participation. It investigates the relationship between cultural values, norms and practices.
